Zoobl Gu'Ba

"Piskun science."

Zoobl is Zoobl. Zoobl only ever refers to Zoobl in third-person: whether this is Zoobl's personal choice or just a part of his planet's culture is ambiguous.

Zoobl was originally created as a bit character, another agent of chaos like Artemisia who was born to die. Zoobl would join a shift as a rainbow-suited passenger, pick up vapes, then lock up in a toilet stall to vape to death. Grays are inherently comedic, and Zoobl was just an exercise in doing funny stuff to a cartoon gray alien. Poking Zoobl with sticks and watching Zoobl die was the whole fun of the character.

As the bit grew old, Zoobl's passenger life came to a close. I developed an interest in the salvage specialist role around the same time and, lacking a character, I decided to try Zoobl out in that position. Salvage is a combat-oriented job that suffers a lot of physical trauma, and Grays are inherently weak to all forms of physical damage, so the added challenge was a lot of fun on top for a character born to die.

In the era of Impstation that Zoobl was played in, Grayspeak (the language of word replacements that Grays use) was far less well-understood, so communication was both a lot more of a challenge, and a lot more freeing. Zoobl became a potty-mouth, swearing at anyone and any department who even slightly bothered Zoobl. Zoobl would then laugh at their lack of understanding, and happily whistle Zoobl's way down the halls to return to salvage. Zoobl.

Zoobl's longest-lasting impact on me as a player was teaching me a lot about Grayspeak. This, in turn, would help me communicate with Grays as Wisteria, which became an important part in developing her character. Things come around in strange ways.
